John spent 22 years in the Scottish Ambulance Service mainly in senior ranks where he functioned in a variety of roles at many different locations.
During this time he was in charge of the Service's response to some of the worst disasters in Scotland in recent years. Experience gained at tragedies such as Lockerbie and Dunblane and the rail crashes at Belgrove and Newton has meant that John came to be recognised as an expert in the field of Disaster Management and its consequences.
He became interested in clinical hypnosis initially as a tool for use in the treatment of Post Traumatic Stress Disorder (PSTD), but then widened his interest, trained and qualified as a clinical hypnotherapist - utilising his unique experience to address some of the more common stressors in modern life.
